Hello readers !
Holidays are coming soon ! We are all very very excited ! Who says holidays, says leaving your home and discovering another place in the world. Maybe, among you, some are going to France. And perhaps, someone is going to the West of France; You are concerned ? I live in this region and today I’m going to give you a city guide of a lovely city : of Nantes. You must go there if you’ll come around Nantes or in “Loire-Atlantique”.
Firstly, my essentials for a sunny day in Nantes :
- Walking shoes because it’s a big city (if you have forgotten them, take the streetcar)
- A camera to catch each moment of your stay
- A map not to get lost in the streets of the city
Now, you’re ready ! Let’s discover this awesome city.
The principal monuments of the city center :
- The Bretagne Tower, that’s not a good idea if you’re afraid of emptiness. It’s one of the highest building in Nantes. From the top, a magic view of the city! It’s worth your while.
- The Castle of the Ducs de Bretagne : a really pretty castle encircled with a lake. You can visit it. Then it will always remain a good memory…
- Recently, the city has developped a mirror of water. Pop in it !
- Streetcar, line number 1 (Beaujoire -François Mitterand), stop “Chantiers Navals”. You’re there! The schedule ? A visit in the elephant, in the factory and a circuit in the carousel.
- Nantes is also a green city. You want a abreak in a peaceful place ? Let’s go to the garden of plants (Jardin des Plantes) or the park Procé. Relaxation guaranteed ! You can meet little animals and walk there.
- And then… SHOPS ! (because we all love shopping).
You want ideas for your decoration : Go to “Sous les étoiles exactement” or a stationery “les P’tits papiers”.
You want a delicious snack : You’ll love “La Brioche Dorée”
You want clothes ? It depends on your taste. You can find a lot of things in “Galeries Lafayette”, it’s almost the same as Harrods. Along the streets, you’ll find wonderful other little shops.
If you want memories of funny things, around the Castle of the Ducs de Bretagne, there are lots of shops.
Obvioulsy, there are other landmark and places !
– The pics are not mine; I have found the pictures on the web.
Bye !
